Richard A. Fussy, 89, of Crosslake and formerly of Fridley, passed away peacefully at home Sept. 8, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Tim Dolan. Visitation will be one hour prior.
Richard was born Aug. 28, 1935, to Frank and Girtie (Schyma) Fussy in Morrill Township. He married Beverley Chmielewski July 27, 1958. Together they raised six children in Fridley.
After high school, Richard proudly served in the Army. He worked at American Can Company in St. Paul. He enjoyed being outdoors and cheering on his favorite sports teams: Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Beverly; children, Kent (Robin) Fussy, Debra (Kevin) Fuechtmann, John (Ellen) Fussy, Wayne (Tisa) Fussy, Dawn (Greg) Kurr and Perry Fussy; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
